Today after our visit to Santorini, an island
formed by a volcano, we sailed to Sifnos.
It was the perfect sunny day and the wind
was just right for sailing. Just thinking about
it, I can smell the sea air and feel the sun.
The dolphins played in the waves along side
a boat, they like noise and will swim with
you longer if you make noise on the boat.
We arrived at a small port and hiked to the
beach for a refreshing swim. It's not uncommon
to see pack mules carrying loads around the
islands. After exploring the island, I walked
around the town admiring the architecture,
and sketching the unassuming yet elegant
white washed buildings. We had a phenomenal
dinner of island fare, basic but exceptional food
prepared by the most friendly people you could
imagine. Tomorrow, we're off to Serifos. We hear
we're in for a real treat!
